New Behaviours is committed to maintaining and promoting excellent practice in psychometric testing and occupational performance. When working with clients or in any other capacity, we will conduct business in accordance with this code committing to the level of service it prescribes. 

  1. We will ensure we have the qualifications, skills and experience appropriate to meet the needs of the client and will operate within the limits of our competence.

  2. We will use our professional knowledge and experience to understand our clients’ and sponsors’ expectations and reach agreement on how they plan to meet them.  

  3. We will be open about the methods we use and on request, will be ready to supply the client and sponsor with information about the processes involved.

  4. We will ensure that the duration of the contract is appropriate to achieve the client’s and/or sponsor’s goals. 

  5. We will maintain the strictest level of confidentiality with all client and sponsor information unless release of information is required by law.

  6. We will obtain client informed consent prior to undertaking psychometric assessment and/or an occupational performance programme. 

  7. We will maintain a data policy in accordance with GDPR and ensure that data collected is not accessible to unauthorised or unqualified persons and is not used for any purposes other than those agreed with the client.

  8. We will disclose any conflict openly with the client and agree to withdraw from the relationship if a conflict arises which cannot be managed effectively.

  9. We will avoid knowingly discriminating on any grounds and will seek to enhance our own awareness of possible areas of discrimination. We will also be cognisant of the potential for unconscious bias, seeking to ensure that we take a respectful and inclusive approach, which embraces and explores individual difference.

  10. We are committed to developing our skills and expertise through continued professional development.

In all wider aspects we adhere to the guidelines and ethical standards of the British Psychological Society and the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors.
